The SiT95901 is an ultra-low power real-time clock (RTC) and calendar device with dual I2C bus support that allows two master devices (i.e., CPU and BMC chip in a server platform) access to the device. The SiT95901 RTC is optimized for low power consumption and has a built-in voltage-level detection circuit that detects power status and voltage level. If the RTC loses its primary power source, the device will automatically switch to the backup battery power supply (VBAT). When operating in battery (VBAT) data retention mode, the device maintains time, date, and alarm operation with very low current consumption.
